Timothy P. Miller (Tim)
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer
In his role as EVP and COO, Tim directs the day to day operations of the Highway and Airport Construction and Traffic Signal and Street Light Maintenance operations, as well as formulates plans and policies to achieve overall corporate objectives and ensure a safe working environment, while fulfilling the company’s commitment to its stakeholders and its customers.
Tim has been with Welsbach since June of 1983 and has held roles as a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and Vice President-Engineering. He brings expertise in areas such as power distribution systems and switchgear, communication systems, intelligent transportation systems, bridge and tunnel construction, traffic signal and street light maintenance and construction, and airport power distribution, runway, and taxiway lighting.
Since 2006, Tim has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Transportation Society of New York (ITS-NY.org), whose mission is to provide a forum for the continuing professional development of individuals within ITS-NY Member Organizations with an interest in ITS, in all modes of transportation, through the sponsorship of meetings and conferences, training, public education, public outreach, and the dissemination of information, and to serve as a voice for New York State’s ITS concerns at the local, state, regional and national levels to foster the enhancement of multimodal travel including transit and highway, and private and commercial transportation through the application of technology.
Tim received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Amherst College, Amherst, Massachusetts in 1983.
The Personal Side
Tim has three children and enjoys music, golf, and many outdoor activities. He is also an aviation/aerospace enthusiast and flies radio controlled planes with his local club.
